The 38mm Extended Brolly-Mate fits only 38mm (1½ inch) tiller bars and is suitable for tillers that are at a lower height i.e early cruiser sterns and people in excess of 6'.
Brolly Mate is a hands free attachment that slides over the tiller bar when it is raining/sun shining and you can pop your brolly in the top of the tube. The brolly will sit on a bolt (which is removeable) approximately halfway down the tube, to make the brolly sit higher and is secured by a small thumb screw. Made from powder coated mild steel it will give you protection from either the rain or sun.
You can even use it as a rotary clothes line holder (a small 3 Arm 30m airer is recommended as it doesn't encrouch onto the towpath). If you want to have your rotary airer to sit securely on the deck, instead of having the weight on the tiller bar, place the upright tube of the brolly mate directly onto your tiller bar and place your airer with its extended pole directly through the short tube, to
enable the pole to sit onto the deck. (see image)
Comes with a protection strip to be placed on top of the thumb screws to protect the bottom of the tiller bar from being scratched when attached to the tiller bar.
